IBC is the official journal of the Korean Society for Bioinformatics and System Biology (KSBSB: http://www.ksbsb.org/). This innovative open access electronic journal was founded in 2009 and its editorial board consists of leading researchers both in Korea and abroad.
Adopting "Open Science” as its core ideology, IBC strives to inaugurate a new chapter of communication in the field of science with innovative policies such as author-initiated pre-peer review, 7-day publication, post-publication appraisal and discussion, and open review. With the emphasis on interdisciplinary study, IBC covers various disciplines including life science and its related fields such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science and mechanics.
IBC strives to publish not only scientific findings like other conventional journals but also various intellectual endeavors and their fruits which are worthy of accumulation and sharing for mankind.
As a part of this effort, IBC would like to call for manuscripts described below.

convey author’s view and/or perspectives on scientific news or events
Prospect
provide current aspects and future prospects in specific topics
Tutorials
newly developed databases, websites, and/or tools
Addenda
provide authors of significant papers with an opportunity to express additional insights, interpretations, prospects, or speculation on the related topic.
